Appearance	Travis stands about 6 feet tall, normal for a human. A bit brawny from the gym, he clocks in at 270 pounds. His blonde hair is very short, crew cut length. He has hazel-green eyes that bespeak a coldness rarely seen in officers. Travis has no tattoos, and almost nothing to describe him from the rest of the crowd. The only mark he has is on his chest, a thin scar directly over his heart. He looks so ordinary, that while he was in the academy, he was often looked over and ignored, which suits him perfectly. Travis has acquired other small scars from injury, but one that is not seen is on his head, where he was cut during his POW status at the Cardassian POW camp, Rakal. Ambitions Travis's only wish is to be able to Command his own ship one day. Hobbies & Interests Travis collects model ships and loves to read novels. Has an affinity for reading about various Earth and Vulcan wars. Also hand-builds small water fountains that he places around his room, giving it a rustic, back-home feel. Personality	Travis likes to gamble. He is into poker and blackjack. Most of his money has been made by gambling. Travis is also an expert in weapon engineering, having worked on a project for Starfleet when he was a cadet. He is a little bit on the rough side, having spent some time in jail, but he claims he has reformed.
Background	Travis Mc Cloud was born Travis Evan Mc Cloud on June 2nd, 2354 to James Richard Mc Cloud and Lindsay Faith Evans Mc Cloud on Earth. 31 years of age currently, he is serving on the USS Andoria, as the Chief Tactical and Security Officer. The first years of Travis's life were uneventful, normal to say the least. He had both a mother and a father at home who enjoyed being with him and making him happy. His father worked the land, and sold vintage food at the local fair. His mother cooked and baked, and also pioneered a new way of making the latest style of clothes. They never had any desire to go into Starfleet, and they harbored sort of a suspicion about it, both being raised in the backwoods of Maine. After all, it was far away from them, and why in the world would you want to go away from your family for years on end? Everything you could possibly want was in Maine, right at home. Travis continued on in his schooling and was a very good student. He earned top grades, and was a great role-model. All of this changed though on his 11th birthday. Shortly after his 11th birthday, his parents began to fight about Travis's future. His mother wanted him to go off into the word and find something that was good for him and something that he wanted to do. His dad disagreed, wanting him to stay at home and help with the work that always comes in the backwoods of anyplace on Earth. Travis hated to see his parents fighting so. He longed for peace and finally got tired of it. In his 13th year, he ran away from home, taking with him some money and a backpack filled with a change of clothes, some food and a small family memory padd. Thus, Travis ended up eventually on the streets of Quebec, Canada, with almost nothing to his name. He turned to stealing and conning people out of money (with his new found skill of gambling) and eventually his luck ran out and he found himself sitting in a cell on his 16th birthday wondering what to do with himself. He got to talking about things with another inmate there and found out that the inmate was a person that wanted to join Starfleet. He wondered what the purpose of Starfleet was and found his new goal: To become a Starfleet Officer. While in jail though, he was the brunt of a joke that causes one of his only fears. The other inmates got together and wrote a note to him depicting his parent's supposed "graphic deaths". Travis went into withdrawal, and only realized that it was a joke one week later, when he got a rare visit by his parents in jail. Travis got out of jail soon after and squeezed aboard a shuttle to San Francisco. There, after a lot of hard work and a newfound affinity for weapons, he barely squeezed past the entrance exam and embarked on the course to become a Tactical and Security Officer. He was rewarded for his dedication to work and graduated 56th in his class with honors in Weapons Specialty. Shortly after, Travis was assigned as a Special Training Officer at Starfleet Headquarters, leading a division of military police. He was promoted to Lieutenant (JG) in 2378 and served ably in SFHQ until 2382, when he was promoted to full Lieutenant and transferred to SB4 as a security officer. Finding that too dull, he transferred off the Starbase to the USS Andoria as her Chief Tactical/Security Officer in 2383. During the year of 2383, Travis participated in numerous missions, the "Eden" mission being his first deep space assignment. The Andoria was subjected to its first real test, discovering the insurgents behind the attacks on the Eden system. Afterwards, Travis helped hunt down those responsible for the attacks, and it was there that he became a Prisoner of War. Travis spent two months in the Rakal Cardassian prisoner camp. He was tortured, beaten and scarred as a result. After this, Travis recovered and was deemed fit for duty. After that incident, Travis was again shipped out on the Andoria, having distinguished himself in the previous missions. Completing missions such as "Shockwaves", "Koh'Maj", and "Wedding Bells" earned him the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 2384. Travis was severely hurt in the Shrdlu encounters in "Bad Moon Rising" and spent months recuperating at a hospital ward. He was diagnoased with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome at this time as well. Travis was one of nine survivors in the battle of Thora V, almost resulting in the complete destruction of the Andoria. During the mission afterwards, Travis was promoted to Executive Officer and the rank of Commander. Soon after, Travis was one of the principle players in the Ryuu Incident which led to Koko'Tor Relau Chlan and his crew being granted amnesty in the Federation. This is widely considered to be the defining moment in Travis's life, as he initiated contact with the Koko'Tor and established peaceful relations with a part of their species. He was directly responsible for the integration of their crew into society and was almost court-martialed for the damage caused with the other part of the Ryuu factions. After returning from the Neutral Zone, Travis was given the news that the USS Andoria was to be immediately retired due to a fatal structural flaw and her crew reassigned. Travis is awaiting reassignment at the Nesrun Fleet Yards at this time. Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths: Travis has great tactical thinking and thinks on his feet very well. He wants to do the best he can in everything, so he is a good worker and tries hard to show this to other people. He is extremely loyal, and once he becomes friends with someone, he feels that he needs to protect them. Weaknesses: Travis is so obsessive about his job sometimes he forgets to have a fun side of life many times. He is also a perfectionist, and loves to gamble. He has gotten in trouble for that a lot. He also loves money and is very competitive with other people. Ambitions Travis's only wish is to be able to Command his own ship one day.
